Royal Worcester produced a series of 24 child figurines representing a boy and a girl for each month of the year. The hand painted, bone china figures were modelled by Freda Doughty to depict the children in activities corresponding to each month's weather. There is also a series of 14 children representing the days of the week. Delightful gift on their own and highly sought after as a complete collection.
This is the boy representing January figure #3452
1980s production solid base
6.5" high x 4.25" long x 4" wide
Features a boy in leggings and a cranberry red coat gliding on ice.
I love the striped scarf and the oversize coat buttons.
Condition is excellent - no chips, cracks, repairs, or age related crazing in the glaze.
