Occupied Japan Cartoon Dog Figurines - Ceramic Funny Hound Dog Collection

Charming group of four floppy ear dogs in funny poses. These little guys were produced in Japan between 1945 and 1952. Marked "Occupied Japan" on base they were designed and mass produced for export around the world. In the 40s you could pick these up at your local 5¢ and 10¢ store. Super cute with their brown and black spots and coloured collars. My favourite is lying down and definitely deep in thought.
Condition is very good with no chips, cracks, or repairs. There is age related crazing in the glaze as would be expected for pieces from this time period.
